It is a privilege to serve our community.
From his welsh origins to serving Winstanley Ward at the Town Hall Clive Morgan has packed a lot into his 58 years.
Clive served his country in the Welsh Guards and is a veteran of the 1982 Falklands War - he swapped one Goose Green for the Wigan version after meeting Marie. Marriage and three children followed. Clive & Marie are now blessed with four grandchildren.
In his spare time Clive helped to develop Goose Green Cricket Club, which play out of its Paris Ave ground and through his leadership and determination the club has secured funding to improve facilities and provide young people with an outlet for their energies.
Elected in 2010, Clive has campaigned successfully to keep our local greenbelt protected and alongside the community is once again defending it against new proposals that could see Warehousing built on land at junction 25. He led the campaign to reinstate access both ways to Clapgate Lane from the A49 and re-established local Police Surgeries and with GT Manchester Police in response to recent anti-social behaviour incidents.
Clive said, "It is a privilege to serve the area where I live and have raised my family and if, re-elected, I will continue to be a strong voice for Winstanley Ward at the Town Hall."
